Marie-Claire Rupio, wife of former Black Stars player Christian Atsu has spoken for the first time after the mortal remains of her late husband were sent to Ghana for burial.
The body of the late Black Stars player was received at the Kotoka International Airport by the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia, family, Ghana Football Association (GFA), and other government officials on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

In an audio that has gone viral, the wife of the late Chelsea player disclosed that she misses her husband so much. The widower revealed that she can’t eat, nor can she sleep or drink.
“I’m not but I’m trying to be strong. I have three kids, they need me. I don’t want to eat, I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to sleep, I don’t want to do nothing; I just want to be there with him but life goes on…it hurts so much but I’m trying and I’ll be strong for my kids. I miss him, I miss him so much…,” she said.
